So I'm going to start listing some of the jewelry I have on etsy. This is my storefront: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PurpleElmCreations

I really need a better banner - I scanned a picture I drew and colored, but the scanning was only so good.

I'm currently waiting to get another shot from plasma donation, then I'll transfer some of that money into my ING account and put a few things up. Meeting up with Patrick this weekend was encouraging, if a little daunting. The man is so incredibly talented. This is his storefront: http://www.etsy.com/shop/armourer

He did say he was going to send me some links for possible supply sources - my main concern is the clasps. I like the magnetic clasps - they're easy. But I'm always afraid the end looks a bit chintzy.

Hrm. Having an idea for characters to write for stories or novel, but have to actually think of something for them to do and some sort of plot.

Anyone have any good places to learn how to do any of this sort of work? I normally wouldn't pay for a computer background, but this guy's work is amazing, and I'm considering at least the 90 day membership to get more pretty.

I'll have to poke around and see if there's any sort of class to figure out which programs are workable - it's just very far out of my realm of expertise.

Just getting ideas.

I have the following words/phrases for morse code necklaces:

Love
Hope
Peace
Courage
Serenity
Happiness
Luck
Wealth
Joy
Home
Abundance
Prosperity
Sweet Dreams
Long Life
Health
Wisdom
Earth
Air
Fire
Water
Spirit

I have the following color beads:
Amethyst
Peridot
Ruby
Citrine
Emerald
Sapphire
Amber
Grey
Cobalt
Teal Blue
Lavender
Dark Rose
Aqua
Lt Rose
Clear

What words and color combinations appeal to you all? I try to use two contrasting colors - one color stands for the dots, and the other for the dashes.

Here's what I've tended to do:

Love - Red, White, Pink (any two combinations)
Luck - Green, White

I haven't really done a "standard" combination for anything else.

I wrote/arranged these two pieces. They're short, based on some Bulgarian pieces. I recorded them in Finale and then transferred the midi into GarageBand and then shared with iTunes to get them into mp3. They do sound a little computery.

There's also the first piece I wrote a long ass time ago. It's kind of amusing with GarageBand's idea of an oud's sound.

The link will start playing automatically once you click.

Can't get great closeups of them, but here are some of the necklaces I've been making. The elemental ones are all magnetic - there are magnetic beads woven around the strand that make it possible to wrap the necklace around a neck or wrist a few times. Only one of the magnetics currently has a clasp, as they really don't need them. Magnetic beads are pricey, though, so I use the remaining beads to make regular necklaces.

Those of you who asked for necklaces, they'll be sent out this week. If anyone else wants one, let me know in that post here. Comments are screened. Those of you who commented with addresses, I've written them down and deleted them, just to make sure they don't get mistakenly unscreened.
